You have reached the home page of NC8X, i am a amateur radio operator in the city of Elyria, Ohio. I took the Vanity Call Sign of NC8X in March of 2007. I was first Licensed in 1995 with the call sign KB8WMZ but
I soon found that was more than a mouth full to use effectively on the air so i changed it to Vanity Call sign of NC8X. Another aspect of my radio hobbies is Scanning whether it be listening to the local public services or scanning and monitoring Military Comms but basically I enjoy most anything between DC and Daylight. Another interest is Computers and Computer related hardware / software. I like working HF, 10 meters being my favorite, but the band has not been in very good shape. Also enjoy 20 & 40 meters as well.
I also use 2 meters to chat locally with friends and local hams. Also I recently got interested in D-star and there is a new group working to get a d-star repeater set up in or around Elyria, which i am sure will be lots of fun. So if you hear NC8X on the air, jump on in and give me a call i am always glad to meet fellow hams on the air or off.
This site is constantly being changed and added to, so check back often and i hope the information you find here is helpfull.
